Do you ever imagine what a loved one would say to you after they have passed away?

The song I am sharing with you is a tribute to my late friend Ben McKinnon, who passed away in August 2016.

‘Through the Night’ was co-written with frequent collaborator Chris See Hoye in the wake of Ben’s death. The song was written from Ben’s perspective from the afterlife, giving his last message of hope to his loved ones and reassuring them that he will always be watching over them.

My vision for ‘Through the Night’ is to invite the listeners into a dreamscape, introducing them to Ben’s spirit through the different colors and textures of the song. When I listen back to it, I feel as if I enter the world that Ben is currently in.

‘Through the Night’ is a song that has helped me through my grieving process and I hope it will inspire hope and resilience in those who are mourning the loss of a loved one.
